Slip duct is used when duct length adjustments are required.
The end of one piece of duct is cut off at approximately the right length. An O ring in place on the cut duct (Fig 1)
Slip duct is added to make correct overall length. (Fig 2)
Lock ring is clamped into position, securing the duct at the correct length. (Fig. 3)
